Whoever would have thought vacuum bags would be so entertaining!!

I have seen these vacuum bags on TV before and have always wanted to see how they really work. I was skeptical before but now I am just really impressed. My Nana has been cleaning out and trying to reoganize a lot of things that have just been pileing up for a long time. She saw these on an infomercial and thought we should try them out. Surprisingly they were not all of that expensive. We decided to put them to the test.

2 quilts and a comforter
shrunk down to little or nothing!
a bag full of antique pillows
attach the vac and watch the magic happen!
looks a little distorted but a lot smaller then they were before!!
Needless to say we had a lot of fun playing with the bags. I think we ended up redoing it at least 3 times just to watch it fill back up with air. All in all it was a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon in Marion!!

thoughtfulness. . .

Pop and Nana celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary yesterday. Just think about it for a minute. . . 49 YEARS!!!! Thats a really really long time. I have spent a lot of time with them over the last month. I decided to get them a few things they really needed but they didn't realize they needed!

Nana putting the rolling pin to good use!! haha. . .

I am one lucky girl! Ash had these flowers sent to me Wednesday morning. He tells me they were for putting up with him for the past year. :) I think he likes me a little bit. I know it doesn't seem like a long time compared to the 49 years of Nana and Pop, but when you have spent about 90% of the year apart. . . it feels like a life time. The blossoms are getting bigger and bigger every day and have kept me smiling even when I haven't felt like it. It's amazing how sometimes things just come at the perfect time. Thank you again Ash!

JUst a little Magnolia FooTBalL!!

There is nothing like going home for a high school football game. The smells, sounds, and people just took me back to the years at MHS. Its amazing how something like that just causes all types of emotions to come over you. The friendships, fights, practices, sweat and tears, the hours of studying I pretended to do for my semester tests. The youth group trip memories that I now cherish so much, watching the football players, during our colorgaurd practices, practice and trying to pick them out by the way they look in their uniform. :) You cant forget the drama that came up over issues that seemed soo life threatening back then. Its amazing what all i learned during all of those Friday nights under the lights.

This arrived at the stadium shortly after Mom and I.

The Coaches pitched in and help get the bands instruments out of the stands before the monsoon showed up.
Just a little group meeting
As the last few minutes tick down on the clock the coaches wives and families get to go down to the track and wait until the game is over to congratulate the coaches and players. This was one of the final plays of the game. . . Shortly after I took it the ball ended up in the end zone for another MAGNOLIA PANTHER TOUCHDOWN!!

Go girls. . . They had quite a few push-ups to do that night.

Panther run through. . . It has come a long way from the butcher paper and pvc pipe we had when I was in high school! (man don't I feel old talking like that) Oh yeah. . . and the video is a little shaky. If you get car sick easily. . . well might want to stay clear! :) Sorry!!

On a daily basis I think about Ty. . . being at the stadium and back in my home town really brought back memories of all the great times we spent together. Strong, loving, patient, hilarious, giving, worker, brother, dedicated, dependable, willing, fun, and forgiving. One of the main things I learned from Ty was you are who you are and you can't worry about what people think about you. I have many many wonderful memories of the times we spent together and I am thankful for each and every one of them.

All about Lainey. . .

My sister Lainey is by far one of the FUNNIEST people I know!! I just love spending time with her. It takes us no time before we are arguing and getting into it about something, but after we duke it out for a few seconds we are over it and moved on to picking on Dad or giving Mom trouble about something. I am so proud of her and the strongest Christian young ladies she is. She is such a great example for others and especially for me. She keeps me on my toes and you honestly don't ever know what to expect when she is around.

Lainey all dressed up for her first day of high school!
Lainey all dressed down for her second day. . . the comfortable, laid back, casual, cool as cucumber, don't care (do care) what people think of me, and did I say I love my t-shirt and jeans Lainey!!

Just a little blurb of what goes on when Lain and I are together. . . Mixed with a little Ash on the web cam and Mom coming in trying to figure out what's going on. . . pretty much what goes on every night when im in Mag-town.

P. S. we don't make a habit of taking in helium. . . probably isn't too good for ya if I was to guess! Oh and the last video. . . Just totally random! Basically just showing off Lain's sweet dance moves. When the camera gets really shaky. . . Well thats what she calls dancing! haha! Oh and proof that I do try my best to keep my eyebrows tweezed. . . Lainey!!!!

P. S. S. Ash told me my room looked like a tornado came through it. In my defense I was in the process of moving back home, organizing, and getting ready to move to Marion. Needless to say. . . It was a disaster!! AND on top of all of that Lainey uses my room as a big closet. She will try on clothes and they get left wherever they may fall. . . that is if they don't fit or look just right. All of that mixed together and you get one BIG MESS!!

Long lost birthday pictures. . .

During a quick visit to HOpe for Logan's birthday party. . . Granny and Pop showed off their trained humming birds. They are just so much fun to watch. . . She fills up the feeders and they swoop in and drink it all up!! Surprisingly and despite what i have always heard. . . Granny's humming birds like the clear nectar over the red. Who would have thunk it!?

Mom just couldn't resist pretending to be the princess for the day!!
Logan the REAL birthday girl!
Just opening presents. . .
So Lain absolutely HATES and when i say HATES i mean HATES the smell of Laci's dog food. As a joke i just wrapped up a little thing of it for her to open on her special day.
Just so excited about the camera we all got her!

Peaches, peaches and more PEACHES!!

Pop and I dropped Nana off in Blytheville and she spent some time with Uncle Max while we headed to Missouri to pick up some peaches. It took us a while to get there, but it was oh so worth it!! I have learned so much in just the little time I have spent with Nana and Pop so far. I have spent time with both in the past, but it hasn't been much one on one time. I am really looking forward to living with them and us getting to spend lots of time together. My Nana is an awesome cook. . . I am hoping she will be able to teach me a few things while I am there. Pop is a handy man. We have already refinish a few chairs that go with the table they are going to let Ash use when he moves to Jonesboro. We have a lot of projects planned already! I am blessed to have wonderful healthy grand parents that support me like they do.

Rows and rows of peaches. . . this place smelt soo good!
They had the most beautiful apples. Its like they polished every one by hand.
This tree was pretty neat. They hung little pieces of candy on each branch. Under the tree was a table covered with candy. It look like the tree was producing candy and it was falling to the ground.
We got what we came for. . .

Putting up peaches is a lot of work! Good thing there were three of us. We definitely had a system. Pop and Nana were the peelers and I was the slicer.

Freshin' up!
Before I helped with the putting up of these thing I thought they were some what "good" for me. Umm. . . not after I saw how much sugar Pop puts on them. Oh well. . . after all it is good for me. It's still fruit right!?!

Make sure you get ALL the air out! Ashley would have been very proud.

Just a look at what we had in the freezer before we started on the others. They are determined to have enough to last them until this time next year.

The chairs and table aren't all that cute, but they are great compared to sitting on the floor and eating off of the coffee table.
